This year, Lane Tech was again ranked the #3 High School in Illinois, a standing that reflects the dedication of the Lane Tech staff and teachers, the commitment of our families, and the excellence of our students. We are the School of Champions—and that doesn’t happen by accident.
It also doesn’t happen without support. CPS is working to close a second straight deficit of more than $700 million, and school budgets continue to tighten. Each year, Friends of Lane bridges the gap between what public funding provides and what it truly takes to deliver the “Lane Tech experience.” This year, that gap put two essentials at risk: our College & Career Counselor, and a Chromebook for every Lane student. Thanks to your support, Friends of Lane funded both as well as a full-time counseling position and many other needs across our vast community.

This year, we are asking every Lane Tech family to join us in the 2026-2027 “Champion the Future” Annual Appeal. Our goal is to raise $350,000 between now and January 31.
Every gift matters. We ask each family who is able to consider a $1,500 annual, or $125 per month contribution, to sustain the programs and opportunities that make Lane Tech extraordinary.
