Friends of Lane 2025-26 Annual Appeal: Champion the Future

 

On behalf of the entire Lane Tech community—thank you for your support of Friends of Lane. Your generosity and involvement help shape the opportunities, spaces, and experiences that define what it means to be a Lane Tech Champion.

Why Your Support Matters: Each year, Friends of Lane bridges the gap between public funding and what it truly takes to deliver the Lane Tech experience—an experience rooted in innovation, inclusion, and opportunity.

Your contributions help:

• Maintain and elevate campus facilities

• Expand academic and extracurricular offerings

• Provide resources that spark creativity and exploration

• Ensure every student has what they need to thrive

Because of donors like you, Lane continues to be a vibrant, future-focused place where every student can discover their passions and reach their full potential.

This year our goal is to raise $300,000 to support our school. While Lane’s leadership prioritizes staffing through careful budget management, Friends of Lane funding allows the school to invest in the “extras” that make excellence possible–technology, classroom initiatives, facility improvements, and student enrichment–without burdening the school’s core budget.   

​

 

Every gift matters. We ask each family who is able to consider a $1,500 annual contribution, or $125 per month, to sustain the programs and opportunities that make Lane Tech extraordinary. For those who can give more, your generosity helps ensure every student receives an equitable and world-class education.

• Chromebooks for incoming 2025-2026 students

• A new state-of-the-art Auditorium Sound System

• Pear Deck educational learning tools subscription

• Homecoming and community building events 

• Over $38K in Teacher/Staff Grants supporting cultural clubs, athletics, world languages, Unified Buddies, the Writing Center, and more

• Graduation 2025 Live Streaming

• New Parent Welcome Events and Staff Appreciation

• Concrete Walkways & Steps refurbishment (Addison side)

• Electrical upgrades for the Aquaponics STEM Lab

• MacBooks for the Art Department

• 3D Carving Printers, CNC and Wazer Waterjet, and Press Brake for the Makers Lab

• Gym Renovations, banners and locker room upgrades

• New furniture for the Wellness Center

• Driver’s Ed Simulators, College & Career Center furniture and auditorium and cafeteria projector installations

• Improvements to the Weight Room

• Student Council Grants to support each class’s needs

• Teacher Lounge Refurbishment and countertops for the Main Office area (coming soon)

• Flooring in the Guitar Classroom

• Clock Tower maintenance

• Countless other projects that enrich learning, inclusion and school pride

• You can spread out your contribution in monthly installments over the year

• All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law

• Checks can be made out to Friends of Lane and mailed to the school or dropped in the FOL mailbox at Door M.

• Consider asking your employer if matching funds are available

• Friends of Lane can also accept donations of appreciated securities including stock, bonds, and mutual funds
