The Green & Gold Gala is Lane Tech’s largest community fundraising event. We rely on its success to sustain the programs that distinguish our school and our students. Proceeds from the event will provide ongoing financial support of teacher grants, new PE equipment and, most importantly, investments in student programs and initiatives that are not funded by Chicago Public Schools (e.g. Maker's Lab, Robotics, Aquaponics, 1:1 Tablet Initiative, and more).

LETTER FROM THE GALA COMMITTEE

Lane Tech College Prep is the largest public school in Chicago, ranked #3 in the state of Illinois by U.S. News and World Report. Our 4,300-member student body reflects the cultural and social diversity of Chicago. Last year, the College Board recognized Lane Tech for administering more Advanced Placement exams than any other high school in the United States and Apple drew the tech world’s eyes to Lane as they launched their new school-focused iPad at Lane last spring.

To achieve this level of success, Lane has developed an unparalleled portfolio of challenging academic programs, skill-building STEM classes and extracurricular activities , many of which are made possible exclusively through private philanthropy .

We are only as strong as our community, and we invite you to be a part of Lane’s amazing story. To achieve this year’s fundraising goals, the annual Green and Gold Gala, an all-volunteer, parent-driven, community event will be hosted by the Friends of Lane on May 3, 2019 at Moonlight Studios. We expect 450 people to attend and thousands will be invited. Please support Lane and our 4,300 students by donating a unique experience, item or gift certificate or cash sponsorship for the gala auction.

Your generosity and business will be promoted and featured four different ways:

On social media via Lane Tech’s Facebook page, seen by over 8,000 people
Via parent newsletters and emails distributed in advance of the event
In our online auction on Bidding For Good
Onsite at the gala event
Business sponsors above $250 are eligible for additional benefits as outlined in the attached Lane Tech CHAMPION document.

Simply fill out the attached form and include it with your donation. Please remember, all donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. Parking

Both street parking and a Moonlight parking lot are available. The Moonlight parking lot is $10, and is located just across Ashland. Parking staff will be dressed in yellow to help direct you when you arrive.

Make sure your billing information is correct, so that any awarded items are processed correctly by following the directions below.

Select "My Account" in the top right corner
Select "Credit Cards" on left panel - Here you add a new card or update an old card with new expiration date. IF YOU ADD A NEW CARD, YOU CAN NOT DELETE THE OLD CARD UNTIL YOU REASSIGN YOUR ACTIVE BIDS TO THE NEW CARD.
To reassign active bids, go to "My Bids" on left panel and reassign each bid to a new credit card.
